NC State Names New Dean of Poole College of Management

Frank Buckless has been named Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Dean of the Poole College of Management after a nationwide search. His appointment becomes effective on July 1.

Most recently, Buckless served as interim dean and Matthew and Ruth Keen Faculty Fellow. He has been a faculty member in the Department of Accounting at NC State since 1989. He served as KPMG Professor and head of the department for 18 years and also as associate dean for faculty and academic affairs.

Poole Showcase Celebrates Student Innovation and Employer Engagement

Students presented 45 projects at the college's 11th Leadership and Innovation Showcase and demonstrated solutions to business and social challenges across a variety of disciplines. VF Corporation received the Employer of the Year award.

Ernest Carraway Reflects on His Career in Law, Tax and Teaching

Carraway, who has been a lecturer in accounting at NC State since 1983, is retiring from full-time teaching this spring. As a young college graduate, Carraway had no real future plans, but his life story shows what can happen when you follow your instincts and accept opportunities that come your way.

Executive Education to Hold Inaugural Women in Tech Leadership Program

The new program teaches high-potential businesswomen in STEM fields the specific strategies and tools they need to demonstrate and communicate their value more effectively to key stakeholders and expand their portfolio of leadership experiences in their field.

The June program has been sold out, save the date for the next program on Oct. 8-10.
