Building Strengths: New Director Role for Dr. Leigh Shamblin Extends Leadership Development College-wide

Leigh Shamblin, a professor of practice the Department of Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MIE), has been named director of leadership for the college. This new position reflects the college’s commitment to providing opportunities for all members of the college to advance their leadership capabilities.

Save the Date: Thursday, September 20

Join us for the inaugural PNC Thought Leadership Series at NC State University. Richard Warr, interim associate dean for faculty and academic affairs at Poole College, will moderate a panel of industry and faculty experts including Dave Passavant, CEO of numo; Carl Ryden, CEO of PrecisionLender; Lewis Sheats, assistant vice provost for entrepreneurship and executive director, Entrepreneurship Clinic; and Dr. Allesandra Scafuro, assistant professor of computer science.

The panel will discuss the emergence of “fintech” in the banking industry and explore financial technology with perspectives and solutions that span accounting, finance, computer science and more.
