Inventing The Future
Innovation is as essential as it is difficult. Organizational cultures capable of "inventing the future" are rare, but the discipline of design provides people with tools and techniques to think differently, see new opportunities, and create impactful, innovative solutions. To help participants think and do differently, NC State Executive Education utilizes the ExperienceInnovation™ simulation from ExperiencePoint. This simulation, built in collaboration with celebrated design consultancy IDEO, is an expert-guided workshop that explores the fundamentals of IDEO's design thinking approach. During a 4-hour session, participants tackle a business challenge in a team-based competition. Outcomes: Improved confidence and competence in innovation efforts, and foundational knowledge of design thinking to apply to real-world challenges. To learn more about ExperienceInnovation™, or other opportunities to learn about design thinking, please contact Dr. Leigh Shamblin at email@example.com.
