Geospatial Forum Spotlight: Eyes in the Sky – UAS over South Texas
The use of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS, drones) is growing rapidly to meet a wide variety of remote sensing challenges. Dr. Michael Starek (associate professor of geospatial systems engineering at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi) discusses innovations in the field and shares insights from his own research group using UAS to survey shallow coastal waters and agricultural lands.
