Partnerships in GIS Service Learning
In their final semester, each master’s student in Geospatial Information Science and Technology completes a capstone project, working directly with a community partner. This season, we celebrate the work of our December graduates.

At December graduation, NC State awarded two doctorates, twelve professional master’s degrees in GIST and twenty-six graduate certificates in GIS to members of the Center for Geospatial Analytics community.

Upcoming Event: Make-a-Thon
Make-a-thon is NC State’s annual sustainability innovation challenge for students. During this three-day challenge on Jan. 26–28, student teams will research, design, prototype and build a new solution that addresses a sustainability challenge.

Upcoming Deadline: Ph.D. Applications
The cutting-edge Ph.D. program in Geospatial Analytics is accepting applications for Fall 2018 enrollment until Feb. 1, 2018. Twelve fully funded graduate assistantships with $25,000 salary, benefits and tuition support are available.
