CAAT is now CALS IT!
We are re-branding! In the next few weeks, our name and brand will begin to transform from CAAT, CALS Academic and Administrative Technology, to CALS IT, CALS Information Technology. Only a few years ago, we mainly supported CALS administrative units and academic spaces. Now we support an additional 9 out of 12 CALS departments! We feel our new name reflects the scope of our support. Look for our site and GoLinks to change, but we won't!

Upgrade your Computer - Windows 7 to Windows 10. Don't Wait!
Did you know that we have only 6 months until all Windows 7 PCs must be off the network? Microsoft will no longer update or support Windows 7 PCs after January 14, 2020. It may seem far off, but with hundreds of current computers in our departments still on Windows 7, we must begin upgrades now. If you have a Windows 7 computer or older, Server 2012, or older MAC not yet on Mojave, contact your IT professionals now. Don't wait!

Priority Page available now in Google Drive
Earlier this year, Google launched a new Priority page in Drive, which makes accessing and organizing your most important files easier. This feature is now available for all G Suite editions. On the Priority page, you’ll see your most relevant documents and are able to take action in line, like replying to a comment or reviewing recent edits, without opening the doc. In Workspaces, you’ll see related content grouped together for easy access, or you can create your own personalized workspaces.

Protect the Pack: Enroll in Eduroam for encrypted wireless service
Are you connected to secure Wi-Fi? OIT encourages everyone in the campus community to use the free, fully encrypted wireless service. With eduroam, an individual with a valid Unity ID and password can connect securely and seamlessly to the Internet, both on campus and while visiting any participating institution worldwide. Guest credentials are not required.
